This is Tala Rukab’s third season at Beach Wave, she played for 2 years and now is in her first year as a coach. She is 17 years old and a Junior at West Shore Jr/Sr High School. She learned to love the game of volleyball in her 8th grade gym class in middle school. After that, she joined her school team and made JV as a middle schooler. Volleyball became everything to her since then. She met a girl at her school that played at Beach Wave at the time and she convinced Tala to try out for her club team. Tala made the team at Beach Wave and learned so much more about the sport. She plans to go to college in Florida and hopes to play on a volleyball club team in college as well.
