Coaching came natural to Michelle after she graduated from Satellite High School in 2004. While attending she lettered in softball, basketball and volleyball. After discovering her love for volleyball halfway thru high school, she stopped all other sports and focused solely on the sport. While playing at Cape Coast Volleyball Club (CCVC) for the last two years of her high school career she earned multiple awards in a relatively short time of playing the sport. By her junior year, she was highlighted weekly in Florida Today, Orlando Sentinel, surrounding newspapers, and sports channels. Then, in 2002 was voted into the Volleyball All-Space Coast Team and made the All-State Honorable Mention Team.

In 2003, her senior year of high school, she was awarded Brevard County's All-Space Coast Player Of The Year as well as making 1st-Team All-State. Committing to a full-ride scholarship at Barry University in 2004, determined her to accomplish more of her athletic goals. As a freshman at Barry University her team had a record of 34 wins and 1 loss, for the season. They continued on to host and win the 2004 Division-II Volleyball National Championship. After recurring injuries Michelle retired her athletic career, as a player. In 2008 Michelle started coaching at Tallahassee Juniors Volleyball Club and that is where she fell in love with the other side of the sport. After moving back to Brevard County in 2008, she started coaching for CCVC training the 17 Elite team, 18 Nike team, summer camps, and private lessons. This same year she came full-circle by rejoining her Alma Mater, Satellite High School, as the freshman coach and assisting varsity.

Most recently she was the Head varsity coach at Eau Gallie High School from 2020 -2022. She also coached at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy from 2014 - 2019 under Peter Klonowski winning the 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 4A District Championships, her teams continued to compete in the 4A Regional State Finals all five years.  In 2011 Coach Michelle joined Coach Signe Post, the former Melbourne High School Varsity coach of many years, to create Serve Volleyball Club (SVC) based out of Indialantic, FL. While at SVC, she brought beach volleyball to South Brevard County which created an opportunity for athletes to play during the summer and earn the chance to try out for the Junior Olympics in California. Later that year, Michelle became the Head Varsity Coach at Melbourne Central Catholic (MCC) for the 2011 & 2012 seasons. In 2011, she started coaching at VolleyTech Academy in Satellite Beach, FL, coaching all age groups for several years.

Michelle created Beach Wave Volleyball Club (BWVC) in 2015 with the goal of being the most prominent club in Brevard County. Focusing on skills and education while keeping the competitive spirit of the game at the forefront of the club's mission. Each year Beach Wave has grown in the number of athletes as well as the number of extremely qualified coaches. Beach Wave requires all coaches are Safe Sport qualified, IMPACT trained, and are the most knowledgeable coaches in the county!!!

These last two decades have been preparing Coach Michelle for her role as Director of her own club which will compete at the top levels of the sport throughout the state. This is all possible through the support of her family and the families that she coaches. This is Coach Michelle's ninth year as Beach Wave Volleyball Club's Director and is looking forward to many more years to come.

GO BEACH!
